Bed sizes and features

The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 offers three different bed lengths:

• Short (70 inches)
• Standard (79.4 inches)
• Long (98.2 inches)

Depending on your chosen cab size, not all bed lengths may be available. For example, the Crew Cab can only be paired with either the Short or Standard bed. Four engines, maximum towing

You can choose from four engines for the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500, all capable of doing serious work. Even the entry-level TurboMax^™ engine can tow up to 9,500 pounds with a simple ball hitch. If you need more capability, though, your choices are between a 5.3-liter V8, 6.2-liter V8, and 3.0-liter Duramax^® turbodiesel six-cylinder. You can’t go wrong with any of them, but for the absolute best, go for the Duramax^®. It can tow up to 13,300 pounds and has great fuel economy.[2] The 6.2-liter V8 comes just shy at 13,100 pounds.[3]

AT4 off-roading capability
