Saturday we hit a slower start to recover from the longer drive the day before. We were scheduled for a tour of Paramount studios at 9AM, so we stopped in for some breakfast to kill some time. After we toured the backlots and soundstages at Paramount, we scooted to Warner Brothers where we were able to buy tickets for their tour of the backlots as well. After the studio tours in the morning we headed towards Petersen Automotive Museum. We could have easily spent hours there looking at the well preserved vehicles. Some from the famous eras of sports cars like the 60s and the 70s, and some almost a century old. We were also able to experience the exhibits on display. The ‘We Are Porsche’ exhibit, with a wide range of the brand’s most iconic vehicles was a sight to see. We also saw the more artistic Arsham Automotive Exhibit, showcasing a hyper futuristic take on cars in archaeology. The exhibit features carved out casts of famous automobiles with chunks of the vehicle missing and filled in with semi-precious stones and crystals.

On the drive from Los Angeles to Cupertino we enjoyed the sights of the California hills and Pacific Coast Highway, although we couldn’t see much because it was horrendously foggy for the entire drive. We did drive briefly through the Redwood Forest, which more than made up for what views we’d lost on the highway. The built-in google search features helped us locate different attractions, and made it convenient to see what was nearby and how many results there were while driving.
