Day 7: Utah to California

We woke up at five on Friday and were back on the road a little before six. Our goal was to hit Los Angeles, California by the afternoon, so we had a lot of ground to cover. The road we took carried us through the Mojave Desert, where we stopped once or twice to enjoy the sights and take some photos. We covered a good 60 miles on Route 66 as well once we hit California. We made another pit stop at Santa Monica Pier for a quick walk to stretch our legs and enjoy the view. Overall, most of the day was spent traveling, and we had a quick dinner before promptly passing out asleep.
